On 04 April 1814, the newly-restored King Louis XVIII re-constituted France's upper-house - the Chamber of Peers.

The Chamber consisted of 154 pre-Revolutionary nobles, high-ranking clergymen and select members of the recently-created Napoleonic nobility.
