Corb Lund has a long music career ahead of him, and one stretching behind.
While studying at Grant MacEwan (now MacEwan University), Lund pursued a minor in anthropology and history at the University of Alberta.
He started in life as he continues it, with a love of farming and the cowboy lifestyle. Born and raised in Taber, Alberta on his family's farms and ranches, Corb developed a love of music and eventually went to the Grant McEwan College in Edmonton to study jazz and bass guitar.
He later founded a punk band known as The Smalls, who he toured with worldwide and enjoyed moderate popularity, selling about 35,000 albums in twelve years. That band dissolved in 1991, and he moved to the States to pursue his musical career.
Corb Lund releases "El Viejo" and adds extra European tour dates.After living in Austin, Texas for a while, he and the band received some supportive feedback and moved to Nashville to continue with country music.
