          Blue Chip Report named DeRonnie Pitts an All-American and one of the top recruits in the nation in 1995.

          The 5-11, 195 pound Pitts was a wide receiver and defensive back as well as being the team’s place kicker and punt return specialist for three varsity seasons for the Trojans. He caught 21 passes for 401 yards and five TD’s and recorded 37 tackles and four interceptions his senior season.

          Pitts was named first team All State while  also being chosen to the state’s Dream Team.
